Building Engineer

Degree in Technical Architecture and Building Engineering. Since the year 1996, he has carried out work and research at the State Reference Centre for Personal Autonomy and Technical Aid (CEAPAT), an independent body of IMSERSO. In the Architecture department of this organisation, he has participated in the training of professionals and has developed great experience in the adaption of homes for older people and people with disabilities, as well as the elimination of barriers in housing blocks. The development and integration of automation in homes for older people has been of special importance; and in particular, the testing and application of KNX technology in an experimental home within the CRMF of San Fernando (Cadiz). He has participated as an expert in the work group that developed the Regional Government of Andalusia’s Accessibility Decree. He has participated as a co-author in the book “R&D&I White Book to help disabled people and elderly people”, edited by the Ministry of Work and Social Issues, the Ministry of Science and Technology and CERMI. 2003 as well as in the publication “Elderly people and Technology” edited by the Institute of Migrations and Social Services (IMSERSO). He combines this work with his professional work as a technical architect and building engineer.
