PhD Architect (2016) with the doctoral thesis: “Community spaces as project material in the contemporary home. The case of the neighbours’ corrales in Triana”. She is Head of the Department of Architectural Design at the School of Architecture in Seville from 2021, where she is lecturer . Master in Design (2003) from Pablo de Olavide University/Polytechnic of Milan/Glasgow School of Art. Lecturing trips to Venice, Krakow, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (1995 to 1997), Florence (2005), Montevideo (2007), Barcelona (2009) and Malaga (2013). She has been spokesperson on the Academic Planning Commission and the Curriculum Monitoring Commission at the School of Architecture. She has also been a member on different judging panels for choosing projects in architecture competitions and prizes.
Since the beginning of her teaching work, she has spent most of her research creating synergies with her professional experience which produced a fertile knowledge transfer, giving rise to her work as an architect getting published in different journals and recognised as a contribution on the Andalusian Register of Contemporary Architecture and on the ARCHXX-SUDOE Spain, as well as being selected for the exhibitions: Inhabit the Present (2006), Through Andalusia (2004), for the 14th Pan-American Biennial of Architecture, Social Housing. Work carried out Original (Industrial) Design exhibition 1920-1999. Also noteworthy is her selection by the Department of Public Works and Transportation of the Regional Government of Andalusia for the Spanish Architecture Prize (2005).
