In this seminar, Dr. Diego Antonio Bittencourt Marconattopresents his research and papers about the role of social entrepreneurship on the development economy. The Base of the Pyramid (BoP) refers to the 4 billion people who earn annual per capita incomes below $1500, the minimum considered necessary to maintain a decent life. Social entrepreneurs can be a solution to implementing more effective and inclusive innovations. By delivering innovative, technology-based solutions to the BoP, social entrepreneurs enhance the quality of life at the BoP.
