José Aceituno Cruz studied Chemistry at the University of Seville, where he obtained his B.Sc. degree in 2021. During his bachelor’s thesis he worked at the ICMSE-Institute for Materials Science of Seville (CSIC-US) in the synthesis of colloidal nanoparticles with applications in MRI, under the supervision of Dra. Nuria Nuñez. He then moved to the University of Hamburg where in 2022 he pursued a M.Sc. in Advanced Chemical Studies degree thanks to an Erasmus+ international mobility grant. During his time in Hamburg, he worked in the synthesis of transition metal substituted polyoxometalates for the catalytic conversion of biomass at the group of Dr.-Ing. Jakob Albert in the Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry. In 2023 he joined CataNa group at IIQ-Institute for Chemical Research (CSIC-US) to develop doctoral studies in metal nanoparticle catalysis under the supervision of Dr. Luis M. Martínez-Prieto.
