Las empresas de inserción son un recurso laboral poco conocido y tenido en cuenta en nuestra sociedad. No obstante, cumplen una importante función social que abarca la formación y orientación profesional y la inserción sociolaboral de las personas en riesgo de exclusión. Fueron muchos los hechos que hicieron resurgir las empresas de inserción en España impulsando la creación de una ley estatal que las regulara.

Does digital competence and occupational setting influence MOOC participation? Evidence from a cross-course survey.

While MOOCs are recognized nowadays as a potential format for professional development and lifelong learning, little research has been conducted on the factors that influence MOOC participation of professionals and unemployed in MOOCs. Based on a framework developed earlier, we conducted a study, which focused on the influence of background variables such us digital competence, age, gender and educational level on MOOC participation. Occupational setting was considered as a moderator in the analysis of the impact of digital skills.

Free digital learning for inclusion of migrants and refugees in europe: A qualitative analysis of three types of learning purposes.

The increasing number of migrants and refugees arriving in Europe places new demands on European education systems. In this context, the role that free digital learning (FDL) could play in fostering inclusion has attracted renewed interest. While the existing literature highlights some general design principles for developing FDL for migrants and refugees, there is little information on the use of FDL at specific education levels, or for specific learning purposes.

Who is taking MOOCs for teachers’ professional development on the use of ICT? A cross-sectional study from Spain.

Research on the use of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for teacher professional development (TPD) and the characteristics of their participants is scarce. This article presents a case of a MOOC initiative supported by the Spanish Ministry of Education aiming at teachers’ professional development on the use of ICT for teaching and learning. The analysis is focused on (a) the sociodemographic and school characteristics of the teachers participating in MOOCs; (b) their experience and beliefs about lifelong learning; and (c) the relevance of MOOCs for their work.

Adaptabilidad de la carrera en estudiantes universitarios: un estudio a través de entrevistas autobiográficas.

This research reports a qualitative case study in which university students’ career paths are analyzed through autobiographical interviews. Seventeen graduates of pedagogic sciences and business administration and management were selected. Our aim was to analyze the students’ adaptabilities and resources to cope with and adapt to changes during their transition processes. A deductive analysis of career adaptability was conducted. The dimensions proposed by Savickas and Porfely (2012) were carried out in order to assess adaptability: Curiosity, Control, Confidence and Concern.

La autonomía emocional en el profesorado de secundaria. Análisis en el marco de un proceso de coaching personal.

We are increasingly aware of the broad spectrum of emotions that are experienced in schools. Experience and scientific literature provide evidence that supports the need for emotional education programs in schools. The main objective of our investigation is to identify the factors that influence the development of the teachers’ emotional autonomy. The methodological design we follow has a mixed approach. Quantitative data collection has been obtained from the emotional development questionnaire CDE A-35 v.

Factors influencing the pursuit of personal learning goals in MOOCs.

MOOCs are promising opportunities for lifelong learning, but as promising as these learning opportunities seem, many learners do not succeed in pursuing their personal learning goals. Barriers to learning are the main reason for not finishing the intended (parts of the) MOOCs. This study addressed the question whether the factors age, gender, educational level, and online learning experience affect barriers faced while learning in MOOCs.

Action Research in Integration of Immigrant Students in the Classrooms of Torreblanca Secondary School.

Thanks to the intercultural training of secondary school teachers, it has been possible to improve the inclusion of immigrant students in school classrooms. Reality shows that greater attention to this type of student by teachers, as well as by other colleagues, considerably improves their academic success. It also favours greater personal development within the socio-environmental context in which they live.

Typology of motivation and learning intentions of users in MOOCs: The MOOCKNOWLEDGE study.

Participants in massive open online courses show a wide variety of motivations. This has been studied with the elaboration of classifications of the users according to their behavior throughout the course. In this study, we aimed to classify the participants in the MOOCs according to the initial motivations and intentions, before long interaction with the online device. Using a survey of 1768 participants in 6 MOOCs, we classify the participants according to: internal motives, external motives and intention of persistence.

La construcción de las identidades étnicas y culturales en niños y niñas migrantes: Un enfoque desde la etnografía colaborativa.

The ethnic and cultural identity construction among pupils from immigrant families requires a deep knowledge of intercultural communication practices that are developed in different spaces (school, home, mosque, neighbourhood associations, civic centre, etc.). Our research analyses the intercultural communication of children in school and shows the use of a methodology that allows access to their cultural identities’ construction. The use of collaborative ethnography with children has allowed the incorporation of their voices in the exploration of intercultural communication.
