PhD. University of Seville, Spain 1993

Inmaculada Domínguez has been working in Felipe Cortés´lab
since 1989.

She spent three months at the National Defence Research Establishment (FOA) in Umea (Suecia) working on the role of glutatión peroxidase in the protection to oxidative damage induced by hydrogen peroxide and gamma ray.

In 1993 she received her PhD from University of Sevilla working on adaptive response and the role of antioxidant enzymes in the protection of DNA damage caused by ionising radiation in eucaryotic cells.

She got a post-doctoral fellowship from European Community and Fundación Ramón Areces to work in the Department of Radiation Genetics and Chemical Mutagenesis, Faculty of Medicine , University of Leiden. During this period she carried out work on Obtention of whole chromosome probes for Cricetulus grisesu and its use for detection by FISH of spontaneous and radiation-induced chromosome rearrangements.

She has been Assistant Professor at University of Seville from 1995 to 2002. Nowadays, she is Reader in Cell Biology at the Department of Cell Biology of the University of Seville, in Seville , Spain.
