The scientific manuscript “Patient-reported Impact of Axial Spondyloarthritis on Working Life: Results from the EMAS survey” has been accepted for publication in the journal Arthritis Care & Research.
The research, which analyzes data from the International Axial Spondyloarthritis Map (EMAS), focuses on the impact of the disease on the employment status and working conditions of people with axSpA. The results reveal how approximately two-thirds of employed patients experienced work-related problems specifically due to axSpA, and that these problems were closely related to poorer physical and psychological health in European participants.
This newly published study aims to increase knowledge about the work-related problems faced by people with axSpA, identifying areas of improvement so that they can improve their working lives.
