IMAS project wins Connecting Healthcare award
The International Map of Axial Spondyloarthritis (IMAS) has been chosen as the winner of the Connecting Healthcare Award 2021 from more than 60 entries from across Europe from a range of collaborative projects.
The Connecting Healthcare Award is an initiative of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) that seeks to highlight innovative collaborative projects that have benefited the lives of patients across Europe.
IMAS scored very highly in the online evaluation phase, demonstrating not only great collaboration between many partners across borders, but also putting the patient first. According to the jury, IMAS has demonstrated how important it is to strive to understand conditions beyond clinical symptoms and how generating knowledge about real-life experiences can transform healthcare delivery and facilitate shared decision-making.
The full prize money (€10,000) will go entirely to the Axial Spondyloarthritis International Federation (ASIF).
