Ignacio Alvarado Aldea

Ignacio Alvarado was born in Seville, Spain, in 1972. He received the M.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Seville, Seville, Spain, in 2002, and the European Ph.D. degree (with full marks and hons.) (summa cum laude) from the same university, in 2007. From 2003 to 2006, he was a Research Assistant with the University of Seville. From Septem- ber 2004 to September 2005, he was a visiting Researcher with the Institute for Systems Theory in Engineering, University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany, funded by a CTS grant. He was also a visiting Re- searcher with PSA (Solar plant of Almería), Almeria, Spain, in 2006. He is the author or co-author of more than 58 publications including book chapters, journal papers, and conference papers and one patent. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Systems Engineering and Automatics, University of Seville. His research interests include control theory, predictive control, tracking, robust predictive control and applications using low resources devices.
