From 2003 to 2005, M.Luís Orta was undergraduate student in Felipe Cortés’ Lab where he collaborated in: “Roles of DNA topoisomerase II in chromosome segregation: endoreduplication in mammalian cells.” In this time, he got an undergraduate fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.
Currently, he is a PhD fellow at the Cell Culture and Radiobiology Research Laboratory doing research on: “Importance of chemical DNA modifications for the recognition/binding of DNA topoisomerase I”. He has got a FPU research fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology (AP2005-1011).
