Recognition of the SDGs: Psychological Research in Service of Sustainable Human Development
On 2 October, our colleague Clara Vega Manchón received an award from the University of Seville for her contribution to Sustainable Human Development, granted for her Master’s Thesis (TFM) supervised by Professor Inmaculada Sánchez Queija.
Influence of the Family in Emerging Adulthood
Under the title “The Influence of the Family on Self‑Concept Development during Emerging Adulthood: A Longitudinal Study”, the research employs a longitudinal methodology to examine changes in self‑concept and self‑esteem among university students in the stage of emerging adulthood, as well as the role of the family in this developmental process. Understanding these dynamics is essential for designing effective strategies in social intervention, education, and mental health.
Commitment to the 2030 Agenda
The awarded work stands out for its explicit contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) promoted by the 2030 Agenda, particularly:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well‑Being
- SDG 5: Gender Equality
Knowledge Transfer and University Impact
This recognition adds to the series of awards and distinctions received by projects developed within the Faculty of Psychology. We express our gratitude to the University of Seville for promoting and giving visibility to initiatives and research efforts that transfer academic knowledge directly to society, contributing to improved quality of life and to sustainable human development.
