Last March 5-6, 2020 HTR had the opportunity to actively participate in the forum “EURECO Supporting Inclusive Health for All”, held in Brussels. This meeting was organized by the European Platform for Research on Inclusive Community Planning and Service Development for People with Disabilities (EURECO), in which institutions such as the European Association of Service Providers for People with Disabilities (EASPD), the International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IASSIDD), the University of Siegen, the University of Warwick, ZonMw and the University of Seville participate.
Members of the European Commission, European Network of Independent Living, European Disability Forum, European Patient Forum and the World Health Organization also participated in this forum. The aim was to discuss key aspects of the health of people with disabilities in Europe, such as the different barriers and challenges that people with disabilities face on a daily basis in the European context and the most appropriate way to overcome them or the need for inclusive health and social services to increase the levels of health of people with disabilities in Europe. The HTR group presented the results of health care for people with disabilities in Spain and possible areas of research in this field.
