Project: Impact and situation of Migraine in Spain. Atlas 2018
This report evaluates the situation of people with migraine through a questionnaire addressed to patients, the opinion of a multidisciplinary group of experts, the review of scientific literature and the analysis of various sources of information. Documentary information is collected from scientific publications and official documents to support the data obtained in the questionnaire. All this allows an approximation to the reality of people who suffer from migraine by studying the care they receive, their limitations, treatments and the personal consequences of suffering from this disease.
Overall objective
The main objective of the Atlas of Migraine in Spain is to evaluate the diagnosis, care and limitations of people who suffer from migraine, as well as the associated social and labour consequences.
Specific Objectives
- Assess the existence and scope of migration planning documents in the field of national and regional.
- To identify the main barriers and difficulties for the diagnosis and care of migraine.
- To evaluate the impact of migraine on the work, social and personal life of the people affected.
- To evaluate the consequences of migraine from the perspective of the patient and the family.
- To evaluate the economic impact of migraine.
- To identify the unmet needs for the comprehensive approach and management of migraine.
Launch
The presentation of the Migraine Atlas in Spain was held on November 14, 2018 in the city of Madrid.
