1800 patients with 15 different rheumatic diseases participated in the first phase of REUMAVID. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than half of the patients cancelled their appointment with the rheumatologist. In addition, many of them increased the consumption of harmful habits (24.6% smoked more and 18.2% consumed more alcohol) and decreased the performance of beneficial physical activities (45.6%). With all this, almost half were found to have poor well-being (49.0%), and the risks of anxiety and depression were very high (57.% and 45.9% respectively).
