Employment Atlas of People with Disabilities
02/12/2015
The results of the 2016 Labour Atlas indicate that the unemployment rate of people with disabilities has grown in recent years, currently standing at 35% compared to 26% of the general population, a percentage that would be much higher if the total number of people in a situation of inactivity (not registered as job seekers) were taken into account. The crisis has directly affected this group since, in 2013, only 1 out of 4 people had a job. Or, what is the same: the employment rate was 24.3%, being higher in men. This means that the activity rate of people with or without disabilities is still around 40%.
