Scope
The objective of this project was to develop a CAD tool to evaluate the Alzheimer disease affection. To this aim, MNI atlases for MRI images were developed. Three atlases were obtained: Alzheimer, Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) and control. Hipocampus was detected in the image to be diagnosed and it was registered to the atlases. A fuzzy ARTMAP neural network classified images according to features extracted from the registered hipocampus.
