Daniel Limon received the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Seville, Seville, Spain, in 1996 and 2002, respectively. From 1999 to 2007, he was an Assistant Professor with the Departamento de Ingeniería de Sistemas y Automática, University of Seville, from 2007 to 2017 Associate Professor and since 2017, Full Professor in the same Department. He has been visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge and the Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Dr. Limon has been a Keynote Speaker at the International Workshop on Assessment and Future Directions of Nonlinear Model Predictive Control in 2008 and Semiplenary Lecturer at the IFAC Conference on Nonlinear Model Predictive Control in 2012. He has been the Chair of the fifth IFAC Conference on Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (2015). His current research interests include model predictive control, stability and robustness analysis, tracking control and data-based control.
