2025_Jornadas de transferencia Universidad/Empresa CEREA_3D

Location: Instituto de Ciencias de la Construcción Eduardo Torroja CSIC, Madrid

Date: October 31th 2025

A meeting dedicated to innovation in sustainable architecture through the CEREA_3D project, which develops ceramic lattices for passive thermal conditioning. The project proposes a construction system based on evapotranspirative ceramics, capable of generating microclimates through adaptive shading and natural cooling. During the seminar, the project will be presented and its application in sustainable construction and urban climate adaptation will be discussed. The event brings together researchers, construction professionals and sustainability experts, creating a unique space to share knowledge and open new lines.

2023_ International Seminar Heat Mitigation Strategies for Outdoor Thermal Comfort in Low Carbon Cities

Location: Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, Sevilla

Date: February 15-16th 2023

The seminar will address key topics such as Urban Heat Island, Heat Waves, Urban Microclimate, Climate Change, and Resilience. Its objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of research and its application to concrete situations, particularly from the fields of architecture and urban planning, with a focus on public space and citizen well-being.

The seminar aims to support the development of critical tools and methodologies as operational instruments for anticipation and intervention. It seeks to enhance understanding of the policies implemented by the Andalusian region in this area, in order to identify the specific challenges involved and the most appropriate technical responses. Local and international experts in the field will present and engage in discussions with young researchers—architects, planners, landscape designers, and environmental designers—on the impact of the urban microclimate on the policies, management, and urban and territorial design that shape our living environments.

2019_ International Seminar on Courtyard Performance and Thermal Modelling

Location: Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, Sevilla

Date: June 17th 2019

In this seminar, we will show the outcomes of the research into courtyards developed by a multidisciplinary team composed by researchers from the groups TEP143 Thermal Technology, FOM120 Mathematical Modeling, and Simulation of Environmental Systems and TEP206: Sustainable Architecture, Technology and Heritage (SATH). Relations with international groups allow the presence of two expert researchers from Harvard University (USA) and University of Kent (UK) which consolidate the international character of the proposal and will allow future research nets.

2018_ Jornada de colaboración Universidad-Centro Tecnológico – Empresa. Resultados del proyecto “INN2CER”

Location: Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, Sevilla

Date: November 27th 2018

In an increasingly technologized and competitive scenario, the relations between University and Technology Center and Business have acquired special importance. This is because, although they are not the only ones that can be established within the framework of the social system, they have the virtue of linking the traditional representatives of the research-knowledge transfer – industrial application trinomial, optimising means and allowing not only access from the company to the research and technological development resources of university institutions and technology centres, but also  but to find new challenges and solve problems connected to the present needs of society.
