About tep206

The group tep206 SATH Sustainability in Architecture, Technology and Heritage: Materiality and Constructive Systems is a research group of the PAIDI (Andalusian Plan of Research, Development and Innovation), attached to the University Institute of Architecture and Construction Sciences (IUACC) of the Universidad de Sevilla, based at the School of Architecture. It brings together professors and researchers from the Department of Architectural Constructions, and develops its main lines of research in new materials, construction systems and application of software and innovative technologies to architecture and construction, with special emphasis on the environmental and sustainability issues.

  • Application of simulations to evaluate passive energy-saving systems.
  • Energy assessment of products, systems, and buildings.
  • Development of software tools for energy modeling.
  • Characterization and environmental analysis of materials and products used in construction.
  • Definition of sustainable alternatives, life cycle assessment.
  • Application of new materials: Economic, construction, and design implications.
  • Research, design, and development of prefabricated products and systems.
  • Study and constructive analysis of existing buildings.
  • Documentary analysis of construction knowledge in historical and heritage buildings.
  • Valorization of traditional materials and systems.
