ABSTRACT:

The monophonic objective parameters of stage support, in its two temporal version, early support (STearly), related to the ease of hearing the other members of an orchestra, and late support (STlate), related to the response of the hall as perceived by the musician, are the most widespread descriptors accepted by the scientific community to characterise the acoustic conditions of the orchestra platforms in concert halls. In this paper, the spatial and spectral distribution of these parameters are analysed on a grid of source-receiver points measured on the stage and in the orchestra pit of the main hall of the “Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofia” of Valencia.
