ABSTRACT:
Miguel Fisac was an architect with extensive professional and research experience in Spanish religious architecture in the second half of the twentieth century. The conclusion of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), and the importance it gave to the active participation of the faithful and the Liturgy of the Word, made the architect rethink the design space of these religious spaces and include acoustic as the aspect determining the project. This paper analyses and compares the current acoustic conditions of three post conciliar churches made by Fisac, using simulation techniques of the sound field.
