In order to run Aracne, the are at least two requirements:
- The user must have a simple executable file, either Aracne.exe (Windows) or Aracne.app (XOS). See Download Aracne to download a free version.
- For the Aracne executable file to run, the MATLAB® Compiler Runtime MCR must be installed.
Accordingly, the installation procedure steps would be simply as follows,
- Download and install the Compiler Runtime for Matlab MCR. Either for
- Microsoft Windows (V.9.9 Matlab® 2020b)
- Mac XOS (V.9.4 Matlab® 2018a)
- Download Aracne (IF NOT ALREADY DOWLOADED)
- Download MSW Aracne to download a free version for Microsoft Windows.
- Download Mac XOS Aracne to download a free version for Mac XOS.
- Move the file Aracne.exe, or Aracne.app (after unzip), into any folder, e.g. in the applications folder.
Then you can simply run Aracne by double clicking on it. In Mac OS, the first time may be needed to run it by using the menu options of the file. Make sure, in Mac OS, you move (not copy) the aracne.app file from one folder to any other.
Go to the manual section for some tips of how to start to use the software.
If you do not own a full version, you can install the Aracne trial version. Go to the license section in order to obtain further information, if interested.
Uninstall
To uninstall, simply uninstall MATLAB® MCR and delete the file Aracne.exe, or Aracne.app, if using Mac OS.
