He has participated as a researcher in the projects: “The Dry Closure of Mineral Waste Dams”, “Characterization of the Resistance and Volume Change of the Blue Marls of the Guadalquivir: Influence of Suction”, “The rehabilitation of the Tajo de San Pedro de la Alhambra de Granada as an exponent of the problem of (hanging) cities.”

He has published various books, articles and book chapters. In addition, he is the author of the patent “Systems for Covering Spaces with a Rectangular and Square Floor Plan”, extended internationally.

He is a full professor at the University. From 2009 to 2017 he was Director of the Higher Technical School of Architecture and President of the Conference of Directors of the Schools of Architecture of Spain.
