María Victoria Requena García de la Cruz (MVR)

Assistant Professor at the University of Seville (Spain) in Structural Engineering. Accredited as Associate Professor by ANECA in 2024. BSc and MSc in Architecture ranking sixth-best from the University of Seville (US) (2016) and International PhD in Architecture with honours from the US (2021), specialised in earthquake engineering. Her work has been supported by prestigious predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships. Research Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education at the US in 2015. 13 months of international research stays at renowned institutions in Portugal (Instituto Técnico Superior) and Italy (University of Genoa), supported by prestigious grants. Her research focuses on earthquake engineering, structural and seismic vulnerability combined with the soil-structure interaction problem, retrofitting and numerical modelling using the finite element analysis. Teaching experience in BSc, MSc and PhD courses related to geotechnics and structures in architecture and civil engineering.

Her research focuses on seismic engineering, structural vulnerability, soil-structure interaction, structural retrofitting, and finite element numerical models. She has published more than 60 indexed publicatons. 28 articles in JCR Q1 and Q2 indexed journals.
