Jose Lazaro Amaro Mellado (JAM)

His research focuses on different applications of geographic information systems and geographic engineering technologies, mainly related to seismic risk (seismic hazard, vulnerability); He also carries out developments in purely cartographic aspects; Finally, he has an interest in teaching innovation. She has participated as a researcher in the PERSISTAH project and is currently part of the following projects: “Seismic risk simulator and real-time evaluation tool in the event of an earthquake for residential buildings in the Iberian Peninsula” and “Project for a earthquake-resilient cultural heritage. Case studies: the Mosque of Córdoba and the Giralda of Seville.

He is the author of more than 40 scientific publications, both in magazines and in conferences and book chapters. Several of them have been the result of international collaboration. He has been cited on more than 90 occasions and has an h index = 6.

He is Associate Lecturer and, since 2012, has directed the Regional Service in Andalusia of the National Geographic Institute.
