Visits to the Giralda of Sevilla

On March 28 and 29, measurements of the natural frequency of the Giralda were conducted. A series of measurement points were established using accelerometers and triaxial seismographs. This parameter’s value is crucial for the dynamic characterization of the building and for the calibration of the numerical model.

Thermographic Study

A thermographic study of the building envelope has been conducted. Both interior and exterior elements were inspected to obtain values in accordance with the UNE-EN 13187:1998 standard. This standard specifies the thermal performance of buildings, qualitative detection of irregularities in building enclosures, and the use of infrared methods.

Initial Visit to the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba

In January 2022, the project team conducted an initial visit to the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, led by the monument’s conservation architect, Gabriel Rebollo. During this visit, various questions were addressed, measurements of construction elements were taken, and graphical documentation of the monument was collected.

In-situ visit to the Plantinar neighbourhood

In January 2022, a visit was conducted with Dr. Julia Rey Pérez and Julia Díaz Borrego to carry out a heritage analysis of this neighbourhood, aiming to determine its cultural values and define the intervention criteria for any proposed actions.
