Antonio Morales Esteban (AME)

Dr. Antonio Morales-Esteban is an Associated Professor (recognised as Full Professor) in the area of Ground Engineering of the Department of Building Structures and Geotechnical Engineering in the School of Architecture of the University of Seville (Spain). He is currently the head of the Doctoral Program in Architecture of the Universities of Seville, Granada and Malaga. He is also the researcher in charge of the research group TEP-107 (Structures and Geotechnics).

He started his research in 2005 with a scholarship to conduct the seismic vulnerability of San Pedro cliff at the Alhambra of Granada (Spain). Since them, he has done an intense and continued research regarding the following topics: Seismic Engineering, Soil Dynamics, Structural Engineering, Seismic Hazard, Geotechnics and Cultural Heritage.

His research has produced: 53 indexed manuscripts (JIF: 20 Q1 and 21 Q2), more than 30 conferences, 9 books and 12 chapters of a book. He has participated in 7 research projects, 3 as a researcher and 4 as the main researcher. He has directed a European project, a national project and two regional projects.

He has directed three theses and he currently has other three under supervision.

He has collaborated with prestigious researchers from Portugal, Chile, Croatia, Italy and China, producing 28 research manuscripts with them.

His research indexes (scopus) are h-index 20 and i-10 index 34, being the second most cited author in the School of Architecture of Seville, with a total of 1216 cites in scopus.
