Goal.
The purpose of this project is to identify the most effective construction solutions that combine improved energy and seismic performance for residential buildings in large, old neighbourhoods of Andalusia. This will be achieved through the design and evaluation of compatible, non-invasive, and complementary solutions applied to the façades of these buildings in a single intervention, with minimal cost increase. These specific solutions will be quantified by an index that will assess the cost, environmental impact, improvement in energy efficiency, and enhancement of seismic performance. This index will also allow for a relative weighting of each aspect analysed. The neighbourhood of «El Plantinar» in Seville has been selected for detailed study. This neighbourhood features a linear block typology, a structural system of reinforced concrete frames, and load-bearing wall façades. «El Plantinar» is representative of the Andalusian housing stock, making the lessons learned easily applicable throughout Andalusia.

OE4: Computational development and validation of the virtual energy prototype for the subsequent calculation of rehabilitation hypotheses and the export of parameters to other analysed cases.
