See our new Seminar Calendar at ETSII!

We are glad to present you the new calendar for the seminars that we will be hosting the following weeks.

These seminars will last 30 to 45 minutes and will cover research, innovation, and projects by members of DiversoLab. The seminars will take place on Thursdays at 10:30 in A2.11 classroom, once every two weeks on working days.

We will start this week (Thursday, March 7) with the presentation by Jesús Moreno, with his seminar titled “Challenges in Computational Thinking”.

The seminar will address key findings from recent research on the role of computational thinking in education. This topic will be explored through three main axes: the assessment of computational thinking skills, their transfer to other domains, and the factors influencing their development. The event will showcase the design and validation of various educational tools and software that have become nearly a standard in educational and academic communities globally. Results from an emerging research area focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence in early-stage education, using innovative tools such as LearningML, will also be discussed. The session will conclude with an open discussion on present and future challenges for the advancement of computational thinking and potential directions for new research lines.
