Summary: A fluidized bed technology for air gasification of recovered fractions from municipal solid waste is being developed. Given the complex composition of the fuel used, the work focuses on reducing inorganic pollutants and optimizing the recovery of various metallic species from the ashes, separately from the bed material. An innovative technology is presented for the hot and sequential removal of different inorganic contaminants from the gas. In addition to utilizing urban waste, the use of difficult-to-manage industrial waste is proposed to remove inorganic pollutants (H₂S and HCl) from the gas and their conversion into useful products.
