The research group Industrial and Environmental Chemical Analysis (ANQUIMED) is located in the Escuela Politécnica Superior. It is associated to the Analytical Chemistry Department from the University of Seville and registered in the Andalusian Plan of Research, Development and Innovation (registration code: FQM-344, Junta de Andalucía)
The group was founded in 2004 with the purpose of improving specifically the knowledge about the dynamics of priority and emerging pollutants, in several environmental scenarios and in industrial installations, in four differenced areas: i) development of analytical methods; ii) monitoring, distribution and degradation studies; iii) evaluation of advanced technologies in the treatment of residues; and iv) evaluation of environmental risks.
The research in the group has a multidisciplinary character reflected in its composition, comprising doctors from different centers, and in its collaborations with other national and international research groups from different knowledge areas, and in the transference of results to private companies and public institutions.
