About us

The Industrial and Environmental Analytical Chemistry group (Análisis Químico Industrial y Medioambiental, ANQUIMED) is located in School of Engineering Escuela Politécnica Superior, CATEPS building. It is affiliated with the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Seville and registered in the Plan Andaluz de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación at the Junta de Andalucía under FQM-344 code.

It was established in 2004 with the aim of conducting research focused on the dynamics of priority and emerging pollutants in different environmental settings and industrial facilities, structured into four distinct research lines: i) development of new analytical methods; ii) monitoring, distribution and degradation studies; iii) evaluation of advanced waste treatment technologies; and iv) environmental risk assessment.

The multidisciplinary nature of the Group’s research is reflected in its composition, which includes PhD researchers from different institutions, in its collaborations with national and international research groups from diverse fields of knowledge, and in the transfer of research results to companies and public institutions.
