‘Developing universities more inclusive’ is the leitmotiv of this eminently interdisciplinary research team. We are a group of faculty members from a wide range of different knowledge areas who share a series of common interests and concerns regarding the broad-ranging, rigorous and in-depth study of inclusive education at university level. The research projects we have carried out reflect our desire to contribute to the efforts currently being made to ensure that universities become institutions to which everyone, without exception, feels they belong and in which everyone, without exception, can participate. Universities should be places which guarantee that, during the course of their academic career, all students have the opportunity to learn, participate on an equal footing and successfully complete their degrees. The voices of students with disabilities is the seedbed from which the various projects we have carried out stem. These projects seek to identify the helps and hindrances identified by these students during their time at university, explore how disability support services work in different universities, analyse faculty training needs in the field of inclusive education and disability and determine the profile of those faculty members who engage in inclusive pedagogy.
