Resumen: Hacia una arquitectura para la vida”, título principal de esta investigación, establece una posición comprometida con el presente ante la exigencia (no sólo necesidad) de producir un pensamiento alternativo capaz de esbozar las nuevas condiciones a las que debe enfrentarse la arquitectura para abordar el problema de la sostenibilidad, y en clara crítica a muchos de los escritos que han aparecido en el último lustro (siguiendo la inercia mediática) que no consiguen superar el estado de alerta crónica imposibilitando cualquier reacción.
Lejos de presentar una arquitectura adjetivada, caracterizada por tendencias, modas o estilos, que corre el riesgo de morir de éxito sin que se haya formulado todavía un corpus teórico común entre sus diferentes acepciones (arquitectura sostenible, bioclimática, ecológica, ecoeficiente, verde, medioambiental, etc.), la tesis estudia la repercusión de los requerimientos derivados de la crisis socio-ecológica que van a marcar su futuro.
¿Es posible generar un discurso propio, sin costuras (descriptivo, interpretativo y crítico), capaz de tejer la complejidad contemporánea desde lo sostenible, tomando como fundamento la protección y el cuidado de la vida?
Síntesis e integración transdisciplinar: ese es el reclamo. De ahí que la inquietud sobre la que navega esta investigación se aleja del estado de ‘parálisis extrema’, fruto de la situación de emergencia, ya que empeora las condiciones de contorno y niega cualquier movilidad. Es preciso llevar a la práctica lo teórico, disolver los límites entre el campo de la investigación y el profesional para trasladar a la “realidad de la masa” (no ya a la puntual) el conocimiento adquirido.
Abstract: Towards an architecture for life", the title of this research provides a compromising position with the present because of the need (not just need) to produce an alternative thought able to sketch the new conditions to be faced by the architecture to address the problem of sustainability, and clear criticism of many of the writings that have appeared in the last five years (following the inertia of mass media) which are unable to overcome the chronic alertness precluding any reaction.
Far from presenting an adjectival architecture, characterized by trends, fads or styles, which runs the risk of dying of success without having yet formulated a common theoretical base their different meanings (sustainable architecture, bio-climatic, ecological, eco-efficient, green, environmental , etc.), the thesis studies the impact of the requirements arising from the socio-ecological crisis that will shape its future.
Is it possible to generate their own discourse, seamless (descriptive, interpretive and critical), capable of weaving contemporary complexity from the sustainability, taking as a basis for the protection and care of life?
Transdisciplinary synthesis and integration: this is the claim. Hence the concern about this job moves away from a state of 'extreme paralysis', result of the emergency because of the boundary conditions and disclaims any mobility. It is necessary to carry the theoretical to the practical, dissolve the boundaries between the field of professional and of research, to move to the "reality of the mass (and not to the point) the knowledge gained
