{"id":1468,"date":"2017-07-02T10:26:02","date_gmt":"2017-07-02T10:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rtc.us.es\/?page_id=1468"},"modified":"2017-07-08T18:16:27","modified_gmt":"2017-07-08T18:16:27","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/rtclab\/","title":{"rendered":"About us &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Robotics and Technology of Computers Lab.<\/strong> (<strong>RTC, TEP-108<\/strong>) is a research group composed by several members of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atc.us.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Architecture and Computer Technology<\/a> (<strong>ATC<\/strong>) department of the <strong>University of Seville<\/strong> (SPAIN). This group is working in <em>Robotics<\/em>, <em>Neuromorphic Engineering<\/em>, <em>Embedded Architecture Systems<\/em> and <em>Computer Networks<\/em> since 1984. Since 1990 this group is also focussed in assistive technologies for people with disabilities (<em>e-Health<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">RTC Group is currently composed by 20 faculty members and 2 PhD students with fellowships. 13 out of the 20 faculty members have finished the PhD. These faculty members teach, among other subjects, in the University of Seville\u2019s \u201cIndustrial Informatics\u201d PhD program, in the Master on \u201cSoftware Engineering and Technology\u201d, the Master on \u201cComputer and Network Tecnology\u201d, as well as in the Endesa-University of Seville\u2019s Master on \u201cManagement of Information and Communication Technology\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In recent years, 6 PhD thesis and 14 Master thesis (Advanced Studies Diplomas) have been defended in the ATC Department; all of them have been supervised by RTC members.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the last six years RTC Group has included 12 research scholarship fellows, funded by EU projects and by several companies (Telefonica S.A., MP Ascensores, etc.). Also, several research scholarship fellows have been sent particularly to our group (from institutions like the \u201cInstitut Universitaire de Technologie de Montpellier\u201d, the \u201cInstitut f\u00fcr Neuroinformatik (INI)\u201d of Zurich, etc.) to work on their Master thesis projects and have been trained under the supervision of RTC members.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are also strong collaborations with other international teams and institutions like Troms\u00f8 Telemedicine Laboratory and Norut (Northern Research Institute) in Norway (Research Director Lars K. Vognild), Monmouth University (Prof. M.S.
