Paula Moreno Gordillo, PhD Student. Paula carried out her Biomedicine studies at USE, and specialized during her Master in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology.  Paula joined us during her final-degree rota to address the behavior of murine FANCD2 deficient hematopoietic stem cells. During her Master studies she increased her technical and scientific skills by studying replication fork dynamics upon overload of modified nucleotides in DNA repair deficient cell lines. Since Feb 2019 she is carrying out her PhD degree with us.

María José Peña Gómez, PhD Student. María José carried out her Biomedicine studies at USE, and specialized during her Master in Neuroscience. She joined our group supported by a “Youth-guarantee” contract from USE. She has just started her Ph.D degree with us studying the critical impact of the nucleotide pool sanitizing enzymes in the maintenance of genome stability. She will study the connection of DNA repair and DNA modification in brain tissues of mice.

Cristina Acedo Rubio, Master Student. Cristina finished her Biology studies in 2018 and joined us during her Master studies in Biomedical research at IBIS Institute. She was granted a Research student fellowship from University of Seville. She is currently studying the role of the KU70 non-homologous end joining factor in the resistance to modified nucleotides overload by combining molecular and genetic tools.

Fátima Guerra Aguirre, Biomedicine Student. Fatima currently studies Biomedicine at University of Seville. She joins us to start her scientific training in genetics and molecular biology. We all hope she enjoys her stay with us and benefits scientifically from interacting with us. Welcome Fatima!!
