The seminar, held on 24 March, aimed to show three good practices at national level that can inspire the development and funding of programmes aligned with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanidad.gob.es\/areas\/calidadAsistencial\/estrategias\/saludMental\/docs\/Plan_accion_salud_mental_2025_27.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mental Health Action Plan 2025-2027<\/a> of the Government of Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The MadresUP project, funded by the State Research Agency, is led by the Centre for Research and Community Action of the University of Seville<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cespyd.es\/\">(CESPYD<\/a>) in partnership with five other entities. <strong>The aim of MadresUP is to increase the mental health of culturally minoritised mothers through community-based mentoring and peer support groups<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The MadresUP project has an <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/zenodo.org\/records\/19191172\">Implementation Manual<\/a> to facilitate its replication, and these video reports provide a first glimpse of the work being done with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SjLsHYDJ3Ak&amp;t=9s\">African<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ei5_jSsOmUY\">Latina<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jPC_UTXJbWw&amp;t=1s\">Roma<\/a> mothers.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>All information is available on the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/\">project website<\/a>, as well as on CESPYD&#8217;s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/cespyd\/\">Instagram<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/centro-de-investigaci%C3%B3n-y-acci%C3%B3n-comunitaria-de-la-universidad-de-sevilla\">LinkedIn<\/a> profiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our colleague Virginia Paloma has been invited by the Mental Health Commissioner of the Ministry of Healthto present the MadresUP Project during a seminar addressed to all the Ministries of Health of the Autonomous Communities of Spain.
