{"id":2281,"date":"2025-12-17T15:50:37","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T14:50:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/?p=2281"},"modified":"2025-12-17T15:52:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T14:52:09","slug":"participation-of-madresup-in-the-ii-seminar-on-mental-health-human-rights-and-minoritised-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/en\/2025\/12\/17\/participation-of-madresup-in-the-ii-seminar-on-mental-health-human-rights-and-minoritised-groups\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation of MadresUP in the II Seminar on Mental Health, Human Rights and Minoritised Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MadresUP actively participated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/cespyd.es\/noticias\/ii-seminario-de-salud-mental-derechos-humanos-y-grupos-minorizados\/\">II Seminar \u00abMental Health, Human Rights and Minoritised Groups\u00bb,<\/a> held on 12 December 2025 at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>In the second round table of the seminar, the experiences of community intervention developed within the framework of MadresUP with Latin American migrant mothers and Roma mothers were presented and commented on, with an emphasis on the promotion of mental health from a human rights and community-based approach.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>In relation to the work with <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/2025\/09\/19\/proceso-de-intervencion-dirigido-por-madres-mentoras-latinoamericanas\/\">Latin American migrant mothers<\/a>, <strong>Tatiana Duque<\/strong> (CESPYD), <strong>Mariana Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, a Latin American mother mentor from MadresUP, and <strong>Sylvia Villalba<\/strong> (ECCA Social), shared lessons learned, challenges and strengths of the psychosocial and community accompaniment developed with the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/2025\/11\/10\/inicio-del-proceso-de-intervencion-dirigido-por-madres-mentoras-gitanas-del-poligono-sur\/\">experience of intervention with Roma mothers<\/a> was presented by <strong>Esperanza Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (CESPYD), <strong>S\u00e9fora Borja Jim\u00e9nez<\/strong>, Roma mother mentor of MadresUP, and <strong>Raquel Borja<\/strong> (Yil\u00f3 Association), highlighting the value of collaborative work, the leadership of the mother mentors and the collective construction of spaces for support and care.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The participation of MadresUP in this seminar contributed to making visible the potential of community-based and participatory approaches to mental health promotion, as well as the importance of placing the voices and experiences of mothers themselves at the centre of interventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" data-id=\"2279\" src=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Mariana-22-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Mariana-22-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Mariana-22-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Mariana-22-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Mariana-22-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/grupo.us.es\/madresup\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Mariana-22.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MadresUP actively participated in the II Seminar \u00abMental Health, Human Rights and Minoritised Groups\u00bb, held on 12 December 2025 at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville.
