Elena Guichot-Bordons, a student of the Degree in Psychology at the University of Seville, defended her Final Degree Project (TFG) on 17 June with a grade of 10. Her TFG, supervised by Virginia Paloma, supports the methodological approach of MadresUP by analysing the use of Social Network Analysis (SNA) in the study of psychosocial well-being in migrant and refugee populations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their paper entitled \u00abAnalysing the relationship between social support networks and psychosocial well-being in migrant and refugee populations through Social Network Analysis: a systematic review\u00bb,<\/em> compiles and examines 14 studies published between 2015 and 2024. From this review, it highlights that the quality of social ties – such as trust, cultural affinity and frequency of contact – plays a key role as a protective factor, beyond the size of the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This methodological approach will be applied in MadresUP to evaluate the impact of its community intervention on the social support networks of the participating mothers.
