Latina Mothers present their photos at the II Seminar on Mental Health, Human Rights and Minoritised Groups

On 12 December 2025, within the framework of the II Seminar on Mental Health, Human Rights and Minoritised Groups, organised by CESPYD at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville, the photo gallery by the Latina mothers participating in the MadresUp Project was exhibited. The exhibition could be visited throughout the day of the seminar and was shared with the attendees as part of the activities developed during the meeting.

The gallery is the result of a methodology inspired by photovoice, used during the intervention, in which the mothers collectively reflected, dialogued and selected significant images that reflect their challenges and strengths as migrant women and mothers. Each photograph was accompanied by a collective narrative that gives name and meaning to the shared experiences, constituting a living testimony of their trajectories. You can visit the digital version of the gallery here.

During the breaks in the seminar, the participants approached the exhibition, read the narratives and listened directly to the mothers, generating moments of exchange and dialogue around the images and stories presented.
