From 19 September to 5 December, the second edition of the community programme MadresUP, aimed at Latin American migrant mothers living in Seville, will be held at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville.
A central aspect of this edition of the programme is the role of the four Latin American mentor mothers who will be leading it: Catherine Ortiz (Peru), Tatiana Ríos (Colombia), Luz Míriam Muñóz (Colombia) and Mariana Hernández (Venezuela). All of them previously participated in the 12 sessions of the first edition, and in complementary training sessions, which has allowed them to grow, strengthen themselves and now give back their experience to accompany other mothers in this process.
The programme contains 12 participatory sessions, which take place once a week on Friday afternoons. They focus on reflection, mutual support, psychosocial well-being, resilience and empowerment, with practical and collaborative dynamics. The last session will be dedicated to recognising the perseverance of the participants who complete the course by awarding them with a certificate of participation.
With this new edition, MadresUP reinforces its commitment to Latina mothers, creating spaces of trust where they can share, take care of themselves and grow together.
Mothers who turn experience into accompaniment and leadership!
