Mothers who inspire through their experience and commitment.
On 5 September, the training process for the Latin American mentor mothers of MadresUP began at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville. This new stage consolidates the experience acquired during their participation in the 12 sessions of the first edition of the programme, and strengthens their capacities to lead the second edition aimed at migrant mothers of Latin American origin.
The training was organised around three key moments:
- Establishment of mentoring agreements: the principles and commitments that will guide the role of the mentor mothers in accompanying the new group of participants were defined.
- Presentation of the programme implementation manual: the mentors familiarised themselves with this tool that will serve as a practical guide and reference throughout the process.
- Detailed review of the sessions: work will be done session by session, so that mentors can define their roles and responsibilities in the development of each meeting.
With this preparation, the Latin American mentor mothers become a fundamental pillar of our programme, contributing their experience, closeness and leadership.
