MadresUP at the Summer School of the Doctorate in Psychology at the University of Seville

From 7 to 10 July, the Summer School of the Doctoral Programme in Psychology was held at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Seville, a space for academic meetings to share research advances and promote exchange among the academic community. Within the framework of this event, the MadresUP project was present through the participation of two PhD students linked to the team: Julia Jiménez-Ceballos and Tatiana Duque.

During the poster presentation day, both students shared fundamental contributions that give support and projection to the development of the project:

Julia Jiménez-Ceballos presented the preliminary results of a systematic literature review, focusing on the multilevel determinants – individual, relational and structural – that shape the mental health of migrant mothers. Her work seeks to provide scientific evidence to guide the design of inclusive public policies that are culturally sensitive to the realities of the migratory context.

Tatiana Duque, for her part, presented a poster describing the design, implementation and evaluation phases of the community intervention process with Latina mothers, as developed within the MadresUP project. Her presentation focused on the use of participatory methodologies and the articulation of the work with the mothers themselves as protagonists of the process.

Both presentations were very well received by the academic community, generating enriching exchanges and positive feedback, especially in relation to the participatory and contextualised approach of their proposals. Both theses are supervised by Virginia Paloma.
