Virginia Paloma at a UPNA Summer Course on Social Mentoring

The Summer Course “Evaluation and Impact Measurement in Social Mentoring Projects”, organised by the Social Mentoring Coordinator, the Public University of Navarra and the UNESCO Chair in Citizenship, Coexistence and Pluralism, with the support of the Department of Housing, Youth and Migration Policies of the Government of Navarra, was held in Pamplona on 18, 19 and 20 June.

In this context, the round table “Experiences of Evaluation in Mentoring Projects with Migrants” was held, with the participation of Virginia Paloma (CESPYD, Andalusia), Eider Jaime (Garaian Scoop, Navarra) and Kristina Soarez (Baketik Foundation, Basque Country). The round table was moderated by Marina Montoya, Project Coordinator of the Associació Punt de Referència in Catalonia.

Virginia Paloma shared the evaluation experiences linked to the different projects based on social mentoring that since 2017 have been developed within CESPYD in collaboration with CEAR, Cepaim Foundation, Red Cross and ECCA Social.

Social mentoring is an increasingly attractive social intervention tool for public administrations, universities and third sector organisations, due to its positive impact on both mentors and mentees.
