On Monday 7 April, we kicked off a new stage of the MadresUP project with the start of the community intervention aimed at mentor mothers of African origin. It is a space for shared growth, connection and learning, led by women who inspire and transform through their experience and commitment.
This training will take place in three phases, each focusing on different aspects of personal and community well-being:
- Phase 1: How do we feel?
A space to reflect on family life and explore emotions through artistic tools. - Phase 2: What strategies do we use?
This stage will address issues such as body wellness, spirituality, cultural connection, knowledge of community resources, self-care and women’s entrepreneurship. - Phase 3: How do we express it?
Through the creation of music and the strengthening of networks, the experience will be shared, including a collective evaluation of the process.
After completing this training, the mentor mothers will accompany 16 African beneficiary mothers, expanding the bonds of support, exchange and resilience that underpin the spirit of MadresUP.
We look forward to their graduation, where we will celebrate all that we have learned and shared in this process.
