MadresUP Hosts University of Costa Rica Researchers

On Tuesday 15 October we received the visit of Dr. Javier Tapia Balladares, Director of the Institute of Psychological Research of the University of Costa Rica and MSc. Wahija Sasa Marín, in charge of the Communication and Scientific Dissemination Area of the same institute.

During the meeting, Javier presented his two current projects: the first on parental burnout and the second on the love bond between young university students and migrants in Costa Rica. Wahija shared her experiences as an interviewer in the project “A Human Rights-Based Approach to the Mental Health of Young Nicaraguan Migrants in Costa Rica”, corresponding to Andrés Ruiz Sánchez’s doctoral thesis at CESPYD, who also presented preliminary advances based on these interviews.

It was a very enriching space that allowed us to exchange ideas of value for MadresUP, as well as to strengthen the links between our institutions. We deeply appreciate your visit!
