Virginia Paloma as Guest Lecturer at the Universitat de Girona

We are pleased to share that Virginia Paloma, member of the MadresUP Project, has participated as a guest lecturer in the Official Master’s Degree “Migratory Movements in the 21st Century: Concepts, Realities and Actions” at the University of Girona.

During her intervention, Virginia presented her experience in implementing peer mentoring in various research projects, highlighting the approach developed in MadresUP. Her participation allowed for a valuable exchange with the students and reinforced the importance of these methodologies in the field of migration and well-being.

This meeting has also strengthened the collaboration with Dr. Óscar Prieto Flores and his research team, opening new opportunities for future synergies.

In addition, during her stay in Girona, Virginia participated in the MOVi-MENTs Podcast, in the episode “9 challenges and interventions to improve the mental health and reception of migrants”, where she shared key ideas on the challenges and strategies in this area.

At MadresUP we continue to promote knowledge exchange and collaborations that drive research on migration and wellbeing!
