The International Network for Simultaneous Learning through Emerging Technologies (INSLET) is an innovative research project to create a global community where students around the world, guided by faculty, can connect with each other through simultaneous learning sessions using emerging technologies.
The idea is to improve our society and share the experience with all the community, proposing unions of institutions with different backgrounds, from the most ‘hegemonic’ to the most ‘discriminated’, in order to contribute by trying to make a balance and raise awareness in the world. It is always a great opportunity to foster new international exchanges and show our different skills and preparation.
This interesting experience was born in January 2024, when Richard Lubben, Dean of Arts and Letters at College of the Sequoias (USA), and Ramon Blanco-Barrera, Fulbright Scholar at the same institution, had an enriching conversation about the wonderful possibilities of bringing new ways of critical thinking to students, including discussions and questions to ChatGPT and a first design of the idea.
The logo goes with a series of icons that represent our original methodology. This is like a mantra for us, regardless of the order, which symbolizes the following:

Symbolized by an @, choose the emerging technology that suits you best and learn new knowledge by practicing simultaneously with other students and/or colleagues.

Represented by two open hands at the bottom, care about each other, identify social needs or problematics and explore solutions to improve the world using the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), a collection of 17 global objectives established by the United Nations (UN).
