He has worked on various research and development projects in cooperation with industry. His current interests are in the areas of networked controlled systems, adaptive control, robust process control, nonlinear control systems, and robotics. He has written two books: Advanced Control of Solar Plants (Springer-Verlag, 1997) and Control Adaptativo y Robusto (Seville University, 1996).
