Francisco Rodríguez Rubio
Francisco Rodríguez Rubio (M’89) received the Industrial Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. degrees from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Sevilla, Seville, Spain, in 1981 and 1985, respectively.,He is currently a Professor with the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation, University of Seville, Seville. He has worked on various research and development projects in cooperation with industry. His current interests are in the areas of networked controlled systems, adaptive control, robust process control, nonlinear control systems, and robotics. He has written two books: Advanced Control of Solar Plants (Springer-Verlag, 1997) and Control Adaptativo y Robusto (Seville University, 1996). He has authored or coauthored more than 150 technical papers published in international journals and conference proceedings.,Dr. Rubio received the CITEMA award for the best work on automation by a young engineer in 1980.
